The kitchen ledger that stays on this iPhone
CrisperLatch is a Utilities kitchen ledger for the person who already clips recipes, plans this week’s dinners, and writes the grocery list. The recipe box, week calendar, and grocery list read the same entities. Recipes, DinnerSlots, GroceryLines, allergy / budget / taste cards, pantry stills, and learning notes stay on this iPhone. CrisperLatch does not create a CrisperLatch account and does not sync the ledger to a CrisperLatch cloud. Checking off a grocery line never leaves the device.
What you file into the box, week, and list
You may keep household size, constraint cards (allergies, budget band, tastes, avoid notes), recipe titles and ingredients, recipe stills, week placements, grocery lines and checkmarks, pantry / shelf inferences, Accept / Edit / Reject outcomes, Sunday / leftover / shopping notification toggles, the first-launch guide seen flag, and the AI data-sharing preference. Opening the three tabs, photographing a recipe page, latching a dinner from the box, or shopping the list does not require a login.
Capture, speech, and local nudges you choose
When you choose the related path, CrisperLatch may ask for:
- Camera to photograph this recipe (page, card, or screenshot) into the box
- Photo Library to pick a recipe page already on this phone, and to write a recipe or pantry still back when you tap Save still to Photos
- Microphone only while you speak a recipe, a dinner slot, or what you already have
- Speech recognition so spoken words become text; CrisperLatch requests on-device recognition when Apple Speech supports it, and usage copy states audio stays on this phone
- Local notifications (optional) for the Sunday latch reminder, leftover use-up nudges, and shopping-day cue — permission is requested when you flip a Settings toggle on (or along an Accept path), never as a cold-launch splash prompt
Deny any permission and keep using paths that do not need it — type instead of speak, skip a still, or leave nudges off. This tip does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt and does not integrate an advertising or attribution SDK.
Free tip — no StoreKit spend unit
The reviewed build does not include StoreKit, subscriptions, consumable credits, Restore, or a CrisperLatch paywall. Filing a recipe, latching a week, checking the list, or sending a DeepSeek latch turn is not gated on a balance.
No cross-app tracking harvest
PrivacyInfo on this tip sets tracking to false with an empty tracking-domain list. CrisperLatch does not ship Adjust, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or another measurement SDK on the reviewed Sources. We do not sell recipe stills or transcripts to data brokers for advertising.
DeepSeek latch help — only after Allow
Nested-agent turns that file a recipe, place dinners, or merge the grocery list leave this iPhone only after you tap Allow DeepSeek for this latch on the consent card (or after you re-enable Settings → AI data sharing when no prior Allow exists). Declining keeps the on-device box, week rail, and list fully usable; no DeepSeek request is built. Turning AI data sharing off stops later and in-flight DeepSeek requests immediately.
When allowed for a latch turn, CrisperLatch may send only what that turn packs — for example downscaled recipe or pantry still pixels, allergy / budget / taste cards, summarized box recipes and ingredients, this week’s dinner placements, grocery lines, and the typed or spoken ask. CrisperLatch photographs recipe pages and food; it does not collect face data, contacts, calendar events, payment data, or advertising identifiers inside DeepSeek payloads. Requests go to DeepSeek at api.deepseek.com using the operator model configured in the app (deepseek-v4-flash-vision-exp). DeepSeek’s policy is linked in-app as “DeepSeek privacy”: https://cdn.deepseek.com/policies/en-US/deepseek-privacy-policy.html
A MiniMax API key may be present in the binary for future work; this tip does not open a MiniMax network path (speech recognition is Apple Speech on-device), so MiniMax does not receive your ledger from CrisperLatch today.
Shortcuts, reminders, and clearing the ledger
The App Intent Photograph this recipe can open capture from Shortcuts. Local Sunday / leftover / shopping cues fire only for kinds you enable. Deleting CrisperLatch (or wiping this iPhone’s app data) removes the local ledger; we cannot rebuild your box, week, or list from our servers because there is no CrisperLatch cloud backup.
